Nose: Bright cherry and slate mineral with hints of floral spice. After air some celery and burnt cherry. Palate: Smooth acid and cherry front end with the slate and a clean medium length finish. Very elegant and still lively. Last bottle.

Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tour (Eola-Amity Hills): Nose of wet earth, darker fruit, and a hint of herbal scents. Nice blackberry and plum fruits are present on the palate along with the wet earth from the nose. The tannins are quite soft.

Nose: Mature nose of sweet flowers with hints of blackberry, raspberry, celery and stone. There is also a very Burgundian barnyard funk and leather nuance that is more prevalent than when this wine was younger. Palate: Bright, high acid and red fruit entry and midpalate with a very clean finish of decent length. I had aged two of these bottles as an experiment and it has paid dividends! This bottle is a dead ringer for Burgundy. This is only their base cuvee and the production is 300 cases. Glad I have one more.

Very good wine with cola, cherry and minerals. Forest floor on the palate. Not as good as the Reserve but a wonderful value wine.
