Thursday, May 30, 2019 - This was just dynamite and a big improvement from a bottle had 5 years ago. Much more expressive notes of toffee and marmalade on the very giving nose. Just a light touch of botrytis here to give it some spice, but nothing heavy or cloying or overly honeyed as this was very fresh and compelling on the palate. Incredibly youthful showing, especially from a half-bottle, and another reminder of what an overlooked, underpriced category Sauternes has become.
