Friday, July 26, 2019 - I was expecting this Vermentino to be over the hill at 6 years of age. Not at all! It still had good color and definitely screamed, "Vermentino!" It's a varietal that takes a lot of wine drinkers by surprise: They don't expect the in-your-face aggressive flavors. The fact that this wine has held so well is a testimony to its intensity and acidity.
