Monday, July 29, 2019 - Pietros: This is a big inky wine that depends on oak for aromatics. Although oak is soft and integrated aromatically, in the mouth the acid tannin balance is difficult, maybe it will age out. It is a well made wine technically, mostly Malbec with the kitchen sink of other varieties, I can see why it wins at tastings but at the table after a few sips it is uncomfortable and does not work with food.
