Although oak is soft and integrated aromatically, in the mouth the acid tannin balance is difficult, maybe it will age out. It is a well made wine technically, mostly Malbec with the kitchen sink of other varieties, I can see why it wins at tastings but at the table after a few sips it is uncomfortable and does not work with food.
