Saturday, August 31, 2019 - Decanted 1.5 hours. Very nice, clean, mostly nicely balanced acidity, tannin and fruit. For all the red fruit, blackberry, black cherry, bit of earth and wood, light spice, there is a lovely floral nose ('perfumed'--per nostrabacchus)-- surpisingly delicate and fresh. Served with bback ribs, braised then grilled with homemade sauce--and though a good match, I found the floral element revealed best own its own. So this has a share of subtlety, which I enjoyed. Be interesting to see how it develops.

9/1/2019 11:34:00 AM - THANK you for this TN! I'd been wondering HOW this might fair with such fare, THINKING it lacked the ripeness (over?) for BBQ, I spot where I commonly use that style of wine that I often wind up regretting having purchased.
