Saturday, September 28, 2019 - Planned on tucking this away for years, expecting great things given Tim Atkin's 100 point score. Wife accidentally opened, drank a glass, the corked. On day two it had opened up wonderfully- still on the young side but not the infanticide that I'd feared. Acidity upfront as you'd expect, but not excessively so, good structure but tannins already well integrated, dark fruits more forward than you'd see in a Bordeaux of this caliber but restrained by New World standards. Really top notch. More to come, but no shame in drinking now.
