Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, a beautiful and small dose of oak. Good and fresh acidity and length. Showing the first signs of maturity and is a great pleasure already and can last at least another 7+ years.

not blind Very elegant Bx from South Africa. Still fresh and on the primary fruit notes. Not alcoholic, firm and silky tannins. At least one more decade ahead. 95

Beautiful bouquet with red and dark berries. Très Bordeaux bouquet. On the palate juicy dark berries and good acidity. The tannin is round and still firm. Although already a pleasure, it is much smarter to wait some more years. Until 2027 to start with. 94+ for now.

not blind, decanted for one hour Lovely Bordeaux cuvee. It reminds me mote to a reluctant Bordeaux and an elegant "Supertuscan" than to a South African Cab. Some graphite and black currant in the background. velvety, silky tannins. Refreshing acidity. Still in the primary stage. Many years ahead. 96

Still very fruit forward. Not what I'm feeling for so I will save it for tomorrow.
Day 2 and the first sip is just so much better. Now we have secondary notes of leather, some earthiness and spices. This is a really good wine. Gave my first bottle 93 and that feels about right this time too.

Mörkfruktig, lite karamell Hög syra, mörkfruktig även i smaken, vanilj, svartpeppar, långt avslut. Känns som en bdx-blend, men kommer rätt mycket vanilj och ny ek efter mer tid i glaset. Gillade det här förvånansvärt mycket
BYOB hyped and disregarded vintages - a free interpretation (Sollentuna chez Innertällmo bryggeri): Served double blind. Immediate graphite, ceder and sweet cassis juice. Instant recognition of this type of fruit forward cabernet sauvignon that still is not over the top in terms of extraction and alcohol. Big but balanced. Very good freshness and rounded mouthfeel. Lovely. I will save my remaining bottle some more time then. Highly recommended.

Popped 45 minutes before pouring. Smooth and drinkable right out of the gate. Fragrant but not overpowering nose with a richness of raspberry and mocha. Solid body on the first drink demonstrating a depth of flavor confirming the black raspberry and soft hints of chocolate on the finish. A great wine on its own, the view on the wine exploded when paired with food (well-seasoned chicken, Brussels sprouts and string beans). With food the wine really showed its mettle becoming an exceptional wine. Plenty of age-worthiness in this bottle with probably another year or two before it really starts showing its wares. Today this is a monster QPR wine IMO.

Generous. Doesn't take long for the nose to open but could benefit from a decant. Green bell pepper (cab franc) notes develop after 1-2 hours. Ripe fruit, plums and bananas, coffee. It is a little flabby and structure is not as linear as, say, a Pauillac. Enjoyable nonetheless. Can probably surf the cellar for another decade - still some baby fat so shed.

Planned on tucking this away for years, expecting great things given Tim Atkin's 100 point score. Wife accidentally opened, drank a glass, the corked. On day two it had opened up wonderfully- still on the young side but not the infanticide that I'd feared. Acidity upfront as you'd expect, but not excessively so, good structure but tannins already well integrated, dark fruits more forward than you'd see in a Bordeaux of this caliber but restrained by New World standards. Really top notch. More to come, but no shame in drinking now.

Love the informative label. 99 on that. The wine isn't bad either. Concentrated. Fruity. Oakey in a good way. Smooth. Black currant. Black pudding. It's good now and maybe great in a couple of years. Saving half til tomorrow. Brb.
Day 2 and it's even better. Sweet fruit. 93. Two bottles left. Will be very interesting to follow.

A real beauty which will last for decades and probably increased scoring over the years. A perfect bordeaux blend with absolutely no disturbing tones of "South African rubber".

Good show again. It really is hard not to like this wine. Besides being a crowdpleaser it also has depth and, what I can only sense is a burgeoning complexity.

Unfortunately this bottle just evaporated in no time at all - all of us rather impressed by the absolutely beguiling nose, very Pauillac-esque. Cedarwood, tobacco, lovely oak treatment and the complexity of fruit hasn't even started to show. In fact I found red and dark fruit, slightest of earthy notes started to emerge but, as I said, the bottle was consumed in no time and my guess would be that this bottle would have been better still on day two. Fully packed fruit, acid is great and this makes for a long lived wine. Only the slightest of smokiness appeared at the end - SA-trait? Long aftertaste and vibrant. Really good wine.

A great wine, hedonisitic, full power but still elegant, Bordeaux style but despite of the lush black and red currant nose it has a great tannic and acidity backbone. Not too one-dimensional. Oak and alcohol well integrated. Compared to my experience with old Kanonkops (CS 1981 and 99) I think at least for the next 15-20 years. Not over-extracted. 95(97)

Quite restrained on the nose, hints of cassis, plums, herbs, spices, green pepper, tobacco. On the palate powerful but well integrated tannins, great acidity, lovely fruit. Spicy, a little mineral. Vibrant finish, very long. Needs time but very promising. 93-94+

The book club goes asado and tries South African reds (At a backyard somewhere near Telefonplan): agree with Rossi.wine's note. This is really good stuff. But obviously in the smooth, oaky and fruity genre. Great with our asado from the get go, but stayed the course and I think this has the stuffings to keep (although why would you when it's this darn good right now?).
