Sunday, October 27, 2019 - Deep ruby, narrowly-spaced slightly tainted tears @14.2% abv. Medium aromas of dark fruit, toasted oak and autnumn leaves. Dry, medium(-)-medium acidity, medium-medium(+) ripe tannin, medium(+) alcohol and full body. Palate of blackberry, red cherry, cocoa, white pepper, licorice notes. Smooth texture, a bit of a sense of weakness mid-palate ("the mid-palate hole"). Very good length with powerful dry finish rounded off by fruit acidity.
