The nose showed a tight, subtle bouquet of cassis and other dark berries, ferrous accents, and little notes of herbs and spice. Rich, ripe and powerful on the palate, this unwound in tones of sweet cassis and blueberries, spice and steely minerality, all still really primary. There is plenty of potential here though - it had good depth, a nice fresh balance, and a fine structure. All promising a long fruitful aging curve ahead. I would not touch it for another decade of so though.
