Sunday, November 10, 2019 - Durand n' pour-cork comes out whole.
Relatively dark for its age; initially redder fruited, some forest floor, finish rather short. With air became more plummy, mineral, showing what I took to be a little more Margaux character, with a bit more of a sustained finish, including some nice mushroomy notes. Good balance; might have thought Pomerol and I suspect there is a fair amount of Merlot here. Not a mind (or palate) blowing wine, but lovely for what it is and its ability to so gracefully weather time.
