Saturday, November 16, 2019 - Really nice wine here. Glad I was able to pick up a few bottles. The nose has lots of ripe red fruit, toasted oak, and some heat also. The palate is medium plus, this is a rich wine. Quite sharp acidity on the front end which you typically see in mountain fruit - but not overpowering. Nice velvety texture. Good decent finish.
This was the last wine of the night for us - it went up against a 2016 Realm The Bard and a 2002 Torbreck RunRig which both overshadowed and overpowered this wine, but feel this has the snuff to make it a very enjoyable wine by itself. Have 2 more bottles left, will see how the play out over the coming years.
