Better than the previous bottles I have had. Opened an hour and a half before dinner. Red and black fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark cherry, red plums and tobacco leading to a moderately long finish. My wife really enjoyed this wine with a grilled steak.

I have waited and waited for these 2013s to get to that optimal place but I think this will be as good as it gets. Drinking nicely and a typical still fruity although more mature fruits of plums and black cherries, nicely acidic. Some bitterness to the noticeably present tannins which might settle down with time, but the fruit isn’t getting any better. I would say drink now and appreciate for what they are, I don’t expect a big transformation.

This bottle unlike the bottle I had 6 months ago did not show an overabundance of red fruit which was an improvement. The finish was moderate to long. It was a nice wine but I was not overly impressed.

We pnp'd at dinner. It might have scored better with some time in a decanter. The nose was all fruit. The palate was black and red fruit, tobacco coffee and cassis. Maybe a little too much cassis. Other trackers mentioned the red fruit coming through. Perhaps decanting would soften it. It does not spoil the wine just takes away some of the enjoyment. I have a few more bottles and I will let them sit a while.
This was very pleasant, but not as great as I had remembered previous bottles. At pnp had lovely aromas and seemingly some layers of complexity. But with a bit of air just a very, simple fruity basic Cali cab, a bit on the sweet side (it is a dry wine of course, but had that sweet fruit element). Every time I have had this wine I feel like there is something more in there waiting to come out, but it just doesn’t seem to happen. I have a few more bottles so we’ll see what happens, but right now I think it is fine but you can do much better for the price point
Really nice wine here. Glad I was able to pick up a few bottles. The nose has lots of ripe red fruit, toasted oak, and some heat also. The palate is medium plus, this is a rich wine. Quite sharp acidity on the front end which you typically see in mountain fruit - but not overpowering. Nice velvety texture. Good decent finish.
This was the last wine of the night for us - it went up against a 2016 Realm The Bard and a 2002 Torbreck RunRig which both overshadowed and overpowered this wine, but feel this has the snuff to make it a very enjoyable wine by itself. Have 2 more bottles left, will see how the play out over the coming years.

Drank as part of my Napa AVA tasting series. Unfortunately didn’t get through more than one chapter today so couldn’t compare it to anything. But this was as good as I remembered from my last bottle a year ago. Spring mountain wines are meant to have ‘integrated tannins and bright acidity.’ I guess that was the case. But so many styles in spring mountain from the restrained Cain to the more luscious Pride. I guess this was somewhere in between with a floral and fruity nose and a palate that was fruit forward without being in your face fruit bomb and some nice savory notes. A decent finish, not the most complex yet but could get there. I have a few more bottles to sit and won’t touch for awhile.

Purple fruit - blueberry, currants, and dark raspberry. Smooth mid-palate with decent depth (medium body). Nice purity and vibrant flavors of wild berries. Fairly long finish. Decanted for one hour and drank over another three. Improved a little with time but at a nice drinking point after the decant. 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc.
Really awesome surprise -- lovely mountain cab that is young but very approachable now. Sweet dark fruit with a great backbone and long finish. Huge QPR from WineAccess

Pop and pour, no formal notes. Very drinkable right out of the gate, lush, easy. Expected a bit more structure given the price and pedigree. Glad I got it well below retail. If this lasts the 25 yrs that RP gives it per the note below I'll be shocked. Having said that, I'll save my other bottle for a while to see if this gets more interesting.

Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (99 Park, Bellevue WA): This delicious Napa Cab wasn't showing much with a pop-and-pour but at first it gave smiles with the delicious fruit and powdered-sugar finish. Later it got a bit shut down. We'll see how this ages; Parker gives it 25 years of life. My #4 of 5.

Way too young. The acidity is still overpowering, and disjointed, but hiding a lot of red fruit. Needs time to come together. Try again in 2023. .

Silly smooth, well balanced given how early, but not as complex on finish as expected.
