Saturday, March 7, 2020 - Deep purple color. Aromas of sweet plums, chocolate-covered raisins, coconut shavings, anise cookies. On the palate, this is plush and jammy with low acidity and a sweet, juicy style, with plums, black cherries, blackberries. Notes of coconut and mint chocolate chip offer lots of yumminess, and while a lot of these bourbon barrel reds can be way over the top, this one shows some nuance. Fun, fan-friendly stuff. All Cabernet aged six months in bourbon barrels.
