Thursday, March 12, 2020 - Without hesitation decide to pnp this bottle now, I know it is a maybe too young bottle, but you never know, read about a (little) change of style, more oak treatment, maybe more concentration, therefore a higher alcoholic grade,
a very tasty fragrance initially, dark cherry, a whiff of tar, latin coffee beans, ripe juicy dark fruit, on the palate silky, no.... very silky, somewhat like a high class crowd pleaser, ripe plums, coffee, mocha, cuban tobacco, brambleberry, all this with an elegant flow over the midpalate, some mineralic freshness in the background, no real edges at the moment, but for me in a positive way, the tannin ripe, the 14% ABV are well integrated, very good lenght, very easy drinking bottle, how will this age? The background acid shows that there will be much life ahead, but maybe an earlier decline than in the better ante 200? vintages, for now this is an everybodies darling young high class Valbuena, but again, in a positive way, and the price tag? It is paid, worldwide! :) 93 for tonight, I am in the mood to be pampered by this bottle......., **(*-*-?)
