Saturday, March 21, 2020 - Bottle 3 of the pandemic shut-in. We were disappointed by this 2015 Pegau, largely agree with CBUHLMAN’s recent note. There was a barnyard funk here that never went away, even with 3 hr decant on night 1 and again on night 2, and the wine was flat beyond the barnyard thing. It was drinkable (barely), but nothing of the raspberry, spice, and layered flavor that I’d expect from this level of CdP producer. Hoping for much more from subsequent bottles.
