Saturday, February 3, 2018 - Pinot Noirs (3-CA & 3-OR) (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): From princeofpinot.com: "14.3% alc., pH 3.68, TA 0.54, 9,100 cases, $40. Sourced from 13 vineyards. Aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 29% new."
N: Closed; Cherries, some earth? Undertones of vanilla?
P: LM body; Rndish entry with nice, almost swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which somewhat mitigates by the LONG (albeit very, VERY slight faint) ULT almost swtish finish. Deserves/NEEDS 'til mid '19, then drinking for 3 yrs more? My VG+; 92 pts WS, 91 Vinous, & 90 Prince of Pinot. [As of late Mar '20, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $50].
Addendum: Also tasted on 5/19 & 8/11/18, today's showing SOMEWHAT > structure than the other 2.
