Thursday, April 16, 2020 - Based on a single bottle of each, I prefer Voyage 7 to Voyage 8. Heavily oaked and fruit forward on the nose with notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon, cherry blaster candy and stewed plum. This wine is hot on the palate with the high alcohol and high acidity very noticeable. Flavours of cherry, chocolate and spice, and perhaps a touch of green bell pepper suggesting this wine needs some cellar time.
