Muted a bit due to the cold weather. Nose: sweet syrup cherry, smoke. Palate: medium to full body, cherry, sweeter style, smooth, chocolate covered cherries, some spice.

Very bright purple color (rich), color indicated jammy but it was not ! Had “frozen” fruit overtones (makes sense give ahipping of grapes from Argentina) in the blackberry type family. Fine with slightly spicy food.
Good experience

Mendoza grapes and Caymus winemaking, an incredible combination. The Voyage 8 was a delicious, balanced Malbec that opened up wonderully over the course of 4 days. Not too jammy with a beautiful finish - this punches above its price point.

The Schooner! An amazing wine smooth on the palette, jammy with lots of fruit. Notes of blackberry, cherry and even some strawberry jam. Even keeled and smooth highly recommend this wine all of the voyages!
Black red in color and murky. Nose had cedar, dark cherry and some eucalyptus. Thick and full bodies with cherry cola flavor. Vegetal hints. Best to let it rest.

PNP using CoraVin. Not the same as previous vintages, especially with the hefty price tag. Sharp edges, less balanced. I doubt time will heal this wine, but I am willing to try.

least favorite of all the voyages I've had..started with a nice dark cherry burst but it was like ice cream the flavor melted and the finish was just so so..have half bottle left and hopefully it will develop over night

Opened and poured, 20 min decant in glass. The presence of pronounced dark fruit, camphor and a spicy tinge. I did not notice any pronounced oak , or strong tannin for that matter. While this is a nice wine, I am not a big fan of Malbec, but when I do its the high end of Catena or Zuccardi, which this is definitely not. I would be happier if this was priced around 22, but at 50 it's way overpriced, for what it is. Tasting again 8 hours later, it has flattened out, frankly I could easily confuse this for a 12$ on premise bottle.

Red Schooner is one of our favorite wines: we had voyage 3 and 5, now 8. Dense, dark, juicy, flavorful, intense, somewhat sweet, no acidity, little tannins, tastes of dark chocolate and pepper, pleasant to drink. Open and enjoy!

Nice purple color. Aroma alcohol pencil fruit so so. Good fruit upfront with some tannins on middle and finish. Not acidic. Malbec grapes harvested in Argentina in 2018. Needs a couple more years in bottle for flavors to fully come through. Have had a Voyage 4 or 5 last year and the extra time in bottle made for an excellent wine.

I like the taste. It’s good. BUT for the price I think I can find better. Not long finish. If it was a 20-30 $ wine I would give it 90 points but I expect more from a wine of this price range.

Based on a single bottle of each, I prefer Voyage 7 to Voyage 8. Heavily oaked and fruit forward on the nose with notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon, cherry blaster candy and stewed plum. This wine is hot on the palate with the high alcohol and high acidity very noticeable. Flavours of cherry, chocolate and spice, and perhaps a touch of green bell pepper suggesting this wine needs some cellar time.

It was too sweet and fruity, missing the body and character of a Malbec. Quite disappointing

Disappointly simple and sweet. Or, maybe I'm just growing weary of the Wagner style... either way I'm done buying the Schooner product.

Sweet oak, dark chocolate and cherry. It’s thick, oak overwhelmes the acidity that malbec usually has. Too sweet for me, hot.
