Monday, April 27, 2020 - This wine is quite wound-up. Clearly needs air time. Liked it more after about 30 minutes when the tight pinot flavors let loose -- at least a little bit. Flavors of rhubarb, sour watermelon, cherry, red apple, and perfume. It's all quite structured, acting more like a vineyard designated wine, in some respects, than a broader coastal red. Needs another two to three years of rest, though I suspect it will remain a bit angular.
(Served with hamburgers, skillet potatoes, and beans; all from the grill.)
