Smells of dark deep purple fruit and earth
Tastes of red fruit with lots of tannin

After 1 hour of decanting
Smells of Black earth and a touch of mildew
Tastes of light developing purple fruit with strips of grainy tannin; light yet closed with guarding weight

After 3 hours of decanting
Smells of raspberries trapped in a well, sweet & dark
Tastes of chocolate and raisins; light, but coating.

This was a fascinating evolution, but somewhat of a disappointment. We could find pieces of greatness, but they never completely came together. 3 hours of decanting is an absolute must.
