Wednesday, June 3, 2020 - Tastes like the most opulent oak money can buy. The grapes seem almost like an afterthought. Red and tart out of the bottle, after two hours of air the fruit profile turned darker. The finish has a bitter green note that offers at least some balance to all of the cherry-vanilla ice cream. Should improve with cellar time and certain to be a perpetual crowd pleaser. Even at the low, low price of $50 I feel like I overpaid. I guess fancy oak isn't cheap.
