The cork was 60% saturated and this bottle drank great with some early tertiary flavors. Red plum, parchment, sandalwood, green pepper, black pepper. Not tart or astringent, delicious.

8/5/2023 4:18:00 AM - Thanks for friending me. I just came back from 2 weeks in the Pacific Northwest, which included 3 days staying in the Pearl District. I had a great dinner at Grassa.
1/31/2023 1:46:00 PM - Hi, Seth. We are finally making our first post-Covid trip to Oregon this coming month. One night in Portland and a few nights in Ashland. Any wine bar or decent grub with a good wine list you'd recommend in the Pearl District? we're at the Northrup Station Inn. I will be picking up an order at Vinopolis as well.
10/9/2022 10:12:00 AM - First of all, apologies for assuming you are an Oregon Pinot enthusiast solely by adjacency and proximity to the region. That’s like assuming I play hockey because I’m Canadian, which I don’t, I don’t even know how to skate! I played basketball all winter in my youth. All that aside, I do appreciate and like some of your suggestions. Evesham Wood is an excellent value producer. Unfortunately for my friends, none of their wines are listed anywhere in Arizona at present on Winesearcher. The search continues. Thanks again.
10/6/2022 2:34:00 PM - Seth, maybe you can help me. I have friends (in Phoenix AZ) who are just getting into Pinot Noir and they were asking me if I could suggest any entry-level Pinots from Oregon - between 25-35USD? My palate steers towards Lingua Franca and Cameron so out of their price range. Have you tasted anything recently that meets the price range and is worth hunting down? Much thanks, JP
6/20/2022 5:54:00 AM - Sorry about the Amidyves, I would guess Oliver bottled from more than one vessel, thus the variations. Back in the day, I brewed beer, and some bottles from my last batch started exploding in the garage. Several years of brewing, and never had an off one. That would be nice if his method will work on those bottles that are ‘difficult’.
4/5/2022 6:38:00 AM - Hi Seth,
I'm not aware of any Abeja Reserve wine. There are 2 different Cab Sauv, one is Columbia Valley and the other is Heather Hill which is more expensive. My review is for the Columbia Valley one. Hope I answered the question and thanks for asking!
1/3/2022 3:33:00 PM - Thanks Seth for the error-spot on the 2017 Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta Vino Nobile di Montepulciano note. Much more reasonable score now ;-)
11/13/2021 9:46:00 AM - I agree with the comment you posted on the 2016 Leoville Poyferre and how people score inconsistently. My public profile tries to clear that up where I acknowledge the score is based on the tasting in the moment and not predicting the future. I was disappointed to hear the CT developer reaction to your suggestion, as I think it would benefit us all. Thank you for trying!
11/29/2020 4:57:00 AM - Thanks for catching the scoring error on Felsina CC. The score has been corrected to 90. I've noticed that the score gets changed when I use the phone app. Thanks again for the comment. Really appreciate it.
1/31/2019 12:22:00 PM - Hi PortlandSeth,
I am sorry you were not happy with our 2014 CdC wine. It was the result of a failed experiement with a lower level of SO2.
I would like to send you a replacement bottle of our 2015 wine. Just need your shipping address, email and ph. no.
Dave

Plum, bramble, olive, charcoal. Bitter and rustic but in a good way. Tastes Mourvedre heavy, should continue to improve.

Bottle 3 out of 3 that suffers from secondary fermentation. Undrinkable. Avoid!!
