90 Points

Sunday, July 19, 2020 - Without doubt a bit young and possibly not at its zenith in this vintage. A very refined opening, with a pretty golden light yellow color, fine mousse and an angular citrus (lemon) acidity --all of which characterized the wine consistently in its initial stage. Next came the toast, some citrus/herb flowering and later the chardonnay (35%) prevailing tones, with a little dose of fruit hints of dry flowers, but with more dynamic acidic edges. This was pleasant asa drier style Cuvee until the last 25 minutes, when it just dropped off. A second tasting later with dinner revealed the same pattern of emerging flavors, followed by a steep drop-off before it was done. Wait, but not necessarily hope, for more.
