89 Points

Sunday, July 26, 2020 - Blackcurrant, vanilla, leather, tobacco big and bold ending on a bitter and stemy, drying tanic finish. I fear this wine will not evolve well as it lacks fruit. Half an hour later, fruit was gone left with only tertiary notes. This bottle of Tanabrk Hill, Philip Togni’s second wine, usually retails around $90 CAD. At that price, I cannot recommend this to anyone. Drink before 2025. Tannins will take this wine further, however there will not be any fruit present to make this wine enjoyable in the future. Pass.
