Saturday, August 1, 2020 - Purchased at winebid over a year ago. Cork in pristine shape, everything tells me that this is how a representative bottle should taste. Just popped this last night, and the very forward fruit was (choose a word) bigger, bolder, bangyer (a word I just invented) than I expected it to be, even though its a ripe 2009. Thus, I do agree that Butch is a proper name for the 2009, although it becomes less Butchy with air as I decanted it and started drinking it after about 45 minutes. I hope and expect with additional aging it will develop more diverse flavors. Label says 13.5% alcohol, and although I am don't find any heat, I wonder if it has a tad bit more alcohol than 13.5.
