Thursday, September 10, 2020 - First of three bottles
Initially, very closed off. Initially, black fruits, unintegrated oak, some smoke.
It needed an hour in the decanter to open up — after which its potential started to emerge.
Balanced black fruits the green herbaceous (pyrazine) aromas. Balanced oak. The very beginning of tertiary muschroom notes
This wine needs significantly more time to age. Won’t open next bottle for 3 years at least.
However, if you must drink it, give it significant time in the decanter
