Ephemeral, but no excessively so. pollen but also developing more herbal and savory notes. A hint at fruit that keeps the elegant effort. Medium plus finish. Minerality to the 9’s. This is delicious stuff

Dark ruby red, plenty of legs. Extremely aromatic. Straw right off the bat as well dark rich fruits. On the palate, it becomes spicy and herbal with roses and leather. Quite well balanced, with a nice acidity giving it length. This was on PnP. Serve with lamb shank, or beef brisket . Probably will just keep getting better. I had in 2020 and don’t recall enjoying it this much. Approaching power and taste and punch of Pearl Morrissette Oblie.

13.5% - Slightly hazy, med to deep ruby / clean, pronounced intensity - mixture of red and black berry fruits, earthy & animal (leathery), mineral edge, gentle touch of green bellpepper, smoky / dry, med+ acidity, med fine grained tannin, med body, med to pronounced intensity with a persistent finish. Stunned by the depth of this bottle and surprisingly open at this stage!

Excellent cab franc... consumed over two days and far better on day 2 and with an additional decant. Nose of dark red fruits, dust and high pitched floral tones. Palate of dark red fruits, cranberry, tar and long finish. Excellent balance. I agree with other tasters... cellar for 3+ years.

In my view this is a total knockout. It pours medium ruby. The nose is wildly complex and aromatic featuring leather, wet hay, charcoal, burlap, peanut shells, fresh blackberry, dark cherry, well worn wood furniture, braised meats, and thyme. In my view this has a light touch of Brett with add to the complexity of the wine, though others could find it off putting. The palate enters on sweet dark fruit replaying the farmyard. the mid palate features a little below medium minus acid and medium tannin, lending structure. The finish is long with pleasing tea-like tannin. In my view this has more than a nod to my favorite wines of Chinon and Bourgueil. Just fabulous. Could pick up a point or two as it ages.

First of three bottles Initially, very closed off. Initially, black fruits, unintegrated oak, some smoke. It needed an hour in the decanter to open up — after which its potential started to emerge. Balanced black fruits the green herbaceous (pyrazine) aromas. Balanced oak. The very beginning of tertiary muschroom notes This wine needs significantly more time to age. Won’t open next bottle for 3 years at least. However, if you must drink it, give it significant time in the decanter

Pollen, bright reddish fruit, savory herb, and a slight hint of green pepper. Tannin is there and dusty and frim, but this is very drinkable and freshly so. Ephemeral and becomes a monolithic wine all unto itself.

Tasted at Halpern Grand Cru; tasted like a good Loire Cab Franc with notes of green pepper; surprisingly massive tannins; drinkable but not up to the hype

Good - like traditional old school bordeaux. Strong earthiness; not as complex as hoped -- may want to try one and let it breath longer.
