Sunday, November 23, 2008 - Drank with a meal of seared pork fillets in a sweet mustard sauce. The color was a bit darker than normal, but not as much as you might expect from a 19 year old white burgundy. The nose was assertively complex and honeyed fruit. Initially the wine tasted a bit unresolved, but within 15 minutes it was a harmonious whole of many layered fruit complexity with an overriding note of warm honey throughout -- perhaps the vanilla. Spectacular.
