Thursday, September 24, 2020 - 100% Nebbiolo
from estate vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba (Ornato, La Serra and Briccolina), Grinzane Cavour (Gustava and Garretti),
La Morra (Roncaglie), Novello (Ravera) and, since the 2015 vintage, the recently acquired vineyard in Monforte (Mosconi).
Vinified in stainless steel with ~25-30 days skin contact and maceration.
Aged ~30 months in large French oak “botti” plus a small amount in barriques.
14.5% Abv.

Cesare Bebvenuto (nephew)

A(ccuracy)=2: Bright clear garnet. Vibrant, elegant, perfumed.
B(alance)=3: Refined components (delicate fruit, youthful acidity, silky tannin) in harmony.
C(omplexity)=2: Dark berries, spices, leather, smoke.
D(epth)=2: Lifted mouthfeel. Persistent palate and finish.

Wine Tally Score [2,3,2,2] = 9/10

Classic style with blending of regional parcels, yet without over-extract and drinkable early. Appeal on labels (front and back): Don't call it "regular" just for lack of specific designations!
