Tuesday, October 6, 2020 - Opened the bottle two hours prior to dinner. After the two hour slow ox I decanted the bottle using a vinturi as I realized a little of the cork had broken off and at 24 years I assumed there would be quite a bit of sediment (I was wrong about that). The nose was berries and leather. The palate was dark berries, leather, tobacco, three bark and earth. The finish was moderate to long. A very enjoyable bottle of wine. There really is no upside but i am sure it will stay at this level for some time. I have one bottle left and will get to it sometime next year. Served with a simple platter of baked chicken.
