94 Points

Thursday, October 8, 2020 - On David's downtown Minneapolis North Loop condo roof top for one of the last outdoor events of 2020. I still haven't gotten around to buying any of these and still don't like the gaudy packaging but the wine is as compelling as ever. Only got one glass and was bowled over by the loaf of fresh baked bread on nose. The palate is concentrated, lifted but creamy. There's a stunning array of flavors from; citrus, stone fruit and mineral to tropical, almonds and honey. Only knock, and more of personal preference, I yearn for a bit more energy. 94pts+ Thanks Candace!

10/9/2020 9:16:00 PM - How has the North Loop done in these strange times. My wife and I spent a week there a few years ago and loved it. Especially Spoon and Stable as well as the Bachelor Farmer which I hear is gone. I loved their cafe.

This is a great wine, so intense and rich. I agree with your note. All the best.

10/10/2020 2:39:00 AM - Hey Dave, great to hear from you. Yep Farmer is gone and Spoon is here to stay, I think. My buddy's condo is just down the same street about a block. I walked around the neighborhood that night and the place was alive with people walking their dogs. Its a pretty upscale, well healed area that should make it through covid just fine. I like it in short doses but not my thing. My wife and I live 26 miles from downtown out in the country. More my thing:). I'm a little worried about downtown Minneapolis which is dead with covid and workers loving working from home. We've got to get Vancouver someday. Looks gorgeous! My daughter loved it on a business trip. Said it was super clean.

    Cheers
    Craig
