Wednesday, September 9, 2020 - 2020 Guigal single vineyard cote rotie release dinner (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo): Caramel, vanilla, black fruits; plums, berries and sweet spice. Juicy, more savoury than the St Joseph Lieu Dit, peppery in fact with spiced dark fruits, grippy talc textured tannins, long. Lovely.

10/20/2020 12:57:00 PM - I opened a bottle earlier in the year but it was WAY to young, tight and tart. I didn't get any of this even with a decant. Did you do a long decant or aerate?

    10/20/2020 4:05:00 PM - G'day DrBad,
That must have been a masive disappointment...sorry to hear that.
I know these were all double decanted at least 2-3 hours before the commencement of the meal and then this course would have been about 90 minutes into the meal...so I reckon they would have seen a fair amount of air which definitely helped them out. Probably about 4-5 in total.
    cheers chatters
