Thursday, October 22, 2020 - Allowed to breathe in glass 1 hour. Clear deep dark garnet color. Classic bouquet of creme de cassis, dusty blackberries, dried black cherries, forest floor, fennel, anise, lavender. Some transient savory umami notes of soy sauce and dried game were not bothersome. Full body on the palate, seamless, beautiful balance, lingering finish. Showed best on first day with two hours of air.
