Friday, November 28, 2008 - 14.1% alcohol. Dark red color. Fragrant nose of black cherry, blackberry, and minerals. In the mouth, round and somewhat rustic. Plenty of black fruit that's tinged with Van der Kamp's signature earthiness. The rusticity makes the acidity seem a touch sharper than it really is, and it gives the finish a bit of a tart edge. Still, a really nice foil to Thanksgiving food. Good stuff. B+
