Reading winery notes explains why this vintage is so different from previous ones. From a normal composition of approximately 50%/50% Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this is now 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 10% Meunier. The difference is immediately noticeable and imho is an improvement. Much fresher, showing more immediate balance between the fruit and acidity. Doesn't seem as full bodied as previous vintages and lacking some of that brioche and green apple that was prevalent previously, this may yet put on a little weight with some time in the bottle. This is a very nice Oregon sparkler. Good qpr.
