Crisp, clean, apple, lemon with the usual toast and biroche and enough acidity to keep it all fresh. This wine continues to be our "house" bubbly and we continue to enjoy it.

Have been drinking a lot of the '16 and '17 vintages in the past year and this bottle was excellent. Maybe because it was served so cold, and the '16 is a bit fuller than the '17, whatever. Consistent with citrus, apple, yeast and crisp acidity.

Subsequent notes on this wine. Light, pale gold in color with a constant & fine perlage. Full, fragrant, & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of green apples, citrus notes of lemons/limes & pear with overtones of yeasty/brioche & floral notes, some baking spices & minerals notes. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of green apples, lemons/limes & pear with yeasty, baking spices & minerals. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the fruit & structure to continue development with a few more years of additional aging. Very good QPR for a domestic sparkler.

Big fan of Argyle's sparkling wines, both brut and rose. Have been drinking both and posting notes for many years. That said, I can't add anything to the previous note posted by Vinnut. Nice qpr.

Yeasty, full flavor champagne. Not a tiny bubble, dense, dry, tickle your nose, sparkling wine. More of a fruity, broad flavor profile, in other words, more of a prosecco than a champagne.

Our favorite sparkling wine. Apples, citrus, lemon and bakery notes. Crisp and clean with plenty of acidity and efference. Solid Oregon wine that we have enjoyed over many vintages.
Yeasty, minerally aromas open up to a clean, crisp, and dry mouthful of green apples and key limes. There's ample energy to go along with a vibrant bead and a lick of salt. Delicious.

On the nose this is a dead ringer for a typical entry level champagne blend. On the palate the terroir difference shows in the fruit character—not just that it’s fruit forward but that there’s something soft and “new world” about it.
Ripe berries are the loudest note despite Chardonnay being a majority of the blend, with some apple and lemon underneath. I get something like rhubarb too, and a bit of vitamin on the finish. Only mildly leesy/toasty but moderately rich. Mouthfeel soft and silky but solid (M to M+) acidity.
This is my first sparkling wine from Oregon or at least my first that isn’t something cheap and anonymous at a party/event. It’s fairly classic in style and should please anyone who enjoys a typical NV champagne, especially at the price; this is on par with the several entry level Champagne bottles I’ve had recently that came from Last Bottle at a $25-30 price, and obviously those would retail significantly higher.

Retail $28. 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Meunier. I saw this at my local grocery store (I love my H-E-B!) for well under twenty bucks and I decided to take a flyer--it has been a few years since I have had an Argyle sparkling wine. The label has changed, they have adjusted the blend a bit, but it is still the same high-quality, Oregon sparkler. Fairly light in color with faint lemon zest, a bit of yeastiness, and a fairly healthy dose of minerality. The palate is quite tart and expressive with ample fruit and that similar hint of yeastiness. While this is a solid effort, I have to say that I have fonder memories of the previous iterations of this wine however many years ago.
House sparkler. Crisp and clean with big effervescence, Apple and pear, citrus with a bit of brioche. Plenty of acidity adds a flinty note. Nice Oregon wine.

Two bottles with friends (socially distanced) over the weekend. We are really enjoying these more than previous vintages, which we also enjoyed. Crisp, clean, citrus, pear and a little apple. Lots of bubbles with crisp acidity makes this a versatile wine. Not as full bodied or as complex as Champagne, this still represents a good qpr. Just ordered two more cases.

Reading winery notes explains why this vintage is so different from previous ones. From a normal composition of approximately 50%/50% Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this is now 55% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 10% Meunier. The difference is immediately noticeable and imho is an improvement. Much fresher, showing more immediate balance between the fruit and acidity. Doesn't seem as full bodied as previous vintages and lacking some of that brioche and green apple that was prevalent previously, this may yet put on a little weight with some time in the bottle. This is a very nice Oregon sparkler. Good qpr.

First bottle from 3 cases. On the nose, lime, lemon and pear. First sip confirms the nose with massive amounts of mousse. Much lighter than previous vintages and definitely more on the citrus side than the apple and brioche side. Easy drinking, refreshing and delicious. Time may yet allow the flavors to deepen a bit, but if not, fine by me. Always a good qpr. This is my favorite everyday sparkler and I've enjoyed it in many vintages, but this one is more of a change than any other I've tried. Some may find it lacking in body.
