Saturday, January 30, 2021 - Thankfully this bottle, from the same OWC as the flawed one, was just fine. Plenty of life here. Dark black fruits, raisins, spices and some game on the nose. Similar on the palate, plus black olives. Very smooth mouthfeel. Still didn't live up to my memory of the bottle poured several years ago at the Beaucastel tasting room, but that may be my palate shifting a little. Very solid wine.

1/30/2021 1:47:00 PM - And you have to figure that tasting in the Beaucastel tasting room added at least a couple of points! As someone fond of this bottling and holding numerous vintages, including a couple of bottles of this, I hope that's something I have a chance to do. Cheers!
