2011 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon

Saturday, February 20, 2021 - Nice assertive nose. On the palate, I got plums, dark cherries, and more plums. Textbook Napa cabernet - fairly rich, viscous, and a solid finish. Well balanced and probably at its peak right now. So why not a higher score? Because I'm old and cranky. This wine has zero personality and smells and tastes like it was made in a lab. When I bought it, there were a number of dramatically superior Napa cabernets available for $40 or less - Whitehall Lane, Chappellet, Sequoia Grove, Provenance, etc.
