Monday, February 22, 2021 - Nice. Agree that this had a definite Old-World Pinot Noir vibe with subdued red fruits taking a back seat to aromas and damp soil, forest floor, a slight bit of animale. The wine is more advanced than I would have expected at this age, almost as if it were a 10-15 yr old Burgundy. It definitely tastes like Burgundy, almost certainly would have called that if I were blinded. I would put at a mid-tier village in terms of quality, probably one of the lighter villages like Chambolle.
