  • Approximately 3.5 years after the prior: This was absolutely lovely again, once more with suggestions of strawberry balsamic. Beautiful balance, with excellent acid backbone. Just so darn enjoyably delicious over three nights, perhaps fading just a bit on the third. We have one bottle left, and will try to save it for a few years.

  • Red and dark red fruits (cherries, raspberries) and white flowers on the nose. On the palate dark red fruits, white flowers and a faint green herbal note. Incredibly concentrated, but with enough acidic lift to keep it from feeling weighty.

Very good today and should continue to drink well through the end of the decade.

  • Red fruit and white flowers on the nose. On the palate dark red fruits, green herbs, and white flowers. The green notes made me think of Anderson Valley PNs, though the white floral notes are a trademark of Briceland wines made from Humboldt County (I rarely get such notes from their Mendocino offerings, nor do I recall florals from when they sourced grapes in Lake County). Good concentration and acidity; drinking well now and will continue to drink well through the end of the decade.

  • Nice. Agree that this had a definite Old-World Pinot Noir vibe with subdued red fruits taking a back seat to aromas and damp soil, forest floor, a slight bit of animale. The wine is more advanced than I would have expected at this age, almost as if it were a 10-15 yr old Burgundy. It definitely tastes like Burgundy, almost certainly would have called that if I were blinded. I would put at a mid-tier village in terms of quality, probably one of the lighter villages like Chambolle.

  • Fruit and earthy soil, forest floor and wild strawberries. This wine kept opening up and developing in the glass. Its light yet packs an elegant power that stayed with the palate for quite dome time. 30 seconds or more. Hope to find more of this wine or visit the winery in Humboldt
