Tuesday, December 30, 2008 - 13.0% alcohol. This wine certainly is at full stretch. Very nice full red color still. Nose is rather simple, dominated by soy sauce and a touch of cedar. In the mouth, very smooth and texturally quite pleasing, but there isn't a whole lot working here. A hint of fruit left, along with some earthy, tobacco-like complexity. Fun to drink, but not much more than a wine of historic interest and fun for those who enjoy old wines. B-
