Saturday, January 3, 2009 - Extremely difficult to enjoy at this time. Lots of good stuff, but the sour cherry tartness hides most of the fruit and even the tannin, which will moderate with time. I don't think the acid will moderate anytime soon. I have enjoyed other cheaper '05 Bourgognes more. (I disagree with Siggy on this one, but totally agree with his notes on the '05 Sauvestre Cote de Nuits-Villages.) By the way, the Chevillon Bourgogne Passsetoutgrains isn't very enjoyable now, either, but I'm guessing that it may improve in a few years. I was told that it was all pinot noir, but I bet there is a good amount of gamay in it.
