Saturday, April 17, 2021 - December 2016 disgorgement. This was more subtle than the Dethune from earlier in the evening. Delicious with poke and a Maui interpretation of bouillabaisse. Red berries, blood orange, with that subtle savory brown spice I sometimes find in this wine.

4/17/2021 4:10:00 PM - Good comparison. I drank my last NV Dethune Rose a few weeks ago so it is time to backfill. Looks like they are pressing on too with their organic cert, which is cool. That Rose is a consistently good bottle for them, probably I think because they constantly blend in reserve wines. Good to see the Vilmart Rubis keep plugging on, too. I keep that wine around also, as you know!

4/17/2021 4:21:00 PM - I did, with Sophie Dethune. Make an appt to see her if you go, as you support the wines already and I am sure she would appreciate meeting you. They're right across the square so to speak from Marguet (maybe see Benoit too since you are right there?), and also Krug Clos d'Ambonnay.
