Friday, April 23, 2021 - Paolo visits Princeton... (Cellars at Chez Walker): A good excuse to check in on this bottle. Purchased at auction, in my cellar from 2012. Decanted and strained, drank over 2 hours alongside a 94 Vega Sicilia...

Medium ruby/garnet, some browning at the edge. Beautifully expressive nose showing red fruits, mineral/stone, graphite and rose petal. Silky smooth palate of red berry, plum, crushed stone, earth notes. Elegant and nicely persistent through the mid palate. Medium body and finish.

This is aged Bdx at its best, a beautiful wine on this evening. Nose is noteable, could have sat and smelled this for hours....:) Well stored bottles should go for a while...but why wait. Worth drinking now. I would go so far as to say this is a benchmark example of the best of the vintage....
