Wednesday, May 26, 2021 - This ripe To Kalon Cabernet is more bruising than elegant, and it currently seems to be tearing at the seams under its own weight. Garnet in color; full in body; aromas of prune, cocoa powder, and graphite. Flavors of boysenberry, mocha, bay leaf, and peppercorn, with a pleasant finish that gets more raisiny after a few hours. 14.7% alcohol. Made by Jeff Fontanella, prior to Mike Smith's arrival in 2009. Followed over three hours, with little change, so drink now.
