Sunday, June 13, 2021 - Final - my last bottle. This wine is a great example of how a proper Bordeaux improves with age. Ten years ago this was really good, five years ago it even better, and then it just settled into a fully integrated joy to drink. I agree the barnyard blows off quickly, the fruit is subtle (but distinct), and finish is silky smooth lasting a bit longer than expected. Don't think it needs any more time in the cellar and if properly laid down should hold for some more years. Looking forward to the '05 now. Cheers!
