PnP and served blind. Youthful in color, This has classic notes of black currant intermingled with some green tobacco leaf and faint purple florals. It has enough firmness on the palate that it may eventually shut down. Thankfully, I expect it to behave a lot like 2008 or 2012, or even 2014. It bears little resemblance to the more polished recent releases. My knock on the wine is that it did not come across as especially concentrated, and I thought it might have been a 2nd wine from 2018
