Sunday, July 25, 2021 - Perhaps a bit too early but the new offering was out and this is what I've got - so I needed a taste .....you know how it is. 94 today, maybe better 2-3 yrs from now.
Fantastic wine, will be better in the next few years. No hurry.
Medium ruby, medium meniscus at this point.
Nose is great but still young. Raspberry, vanilla, tomato leaf, blueberry, menthol, depending upon the swirl.
Palate is less complex at first (with 60 min decant) but continues to improve through the next few hours.
Maybe it's just the vineyard. Ok, maybe not. This is a real zin.
Long finish, tannins are present but slight, balanced with the acid, high alcohol that hides itself well.
