Wednesday, July 28, 2021 - Opened bottle about 30 minutes before pouring the first glasses, enjoyed over about the next 3 hours. Wine is dark ruby red coloring in the glass, while being transparent and light in appearance. A touch of alcohol on the nose as we eased into the first glass, but shortly gave way to plum, raspberry and other dark fruits. Flavors continue to the palate adding in more of the zin spice and rustic qualities. The palate improved as it became a bit more integrated. Acidity is nicely balanced with gentle tannins and the finish is all the good Bedrock things.
.
Had been about 18 months since checking in on the flagship Bedrock 2018. Already in comparison to that experience this wine has relaxed nicely. Room to improve still
