Saturday, August 21, 2021 - Deep ruby with a narrow rim. Medium intensity aromas of lavender, acai berries and freshly ground pepper. The fruit profile on the palate is initially red-toned (strawberry and cherry) but turns black with time in the glass. Lots of spice (herbes de provence) and a hint of smoke emerge on the mid-palate and carry through to the finale. The alcohol is a problem for me - hot and scratches the back of the throat.
